The Post Office branches are generally open Monday though Friday from 7.30am to 2.00pm excluding public holidays. You will also see small yellow post boxes situated all around the town and villages (normally near a bus stop) throughout the island. Stamps can be purchased in many of the hotels and most tourist shops selling postcards. The postal service is generally quite fast for international mail leaving Kos, however local mail and mail coming in can take a little longer.

ELTA offers very similar services that you would expect to obtain in British Post Offices, many larger branches will have an ATM attached and can offer other financial services, such as money transfers etc, as well as mobile phone services and other retail products.
